Well-organized house with comfortable rooms, extra bathroom downstairs, and a friendly host. Close to town center, easy to get a cab. Nice complimentary bottle of wine and tea/coffee facilities. Clean and tidy with a homely feel.

The house is well organised and furnished, with a comfortable sitting room, dining room and kitchen. The three bedrooms are just what we needed, and one has an ensuite shower. The key collection via a wall-mounted key safe was very convenient.
The property was dirty. The dishwashing sponge had a ball of human hair on it and there were no fresh ones to replace it with.

The value for money at Family Homes Upper Road Cottage was exceptional. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. The staff, especially Mindy, were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast selection could use some improvement, with more variety and freshly prepared options.

I recently stayed at the Upper Road Cottage and had a wonderful time! The communication with the host, Mindy, was excellent and she made sure all our needs were met. The bottle of wine left for us was a lovely touch, even though we didn't have a chance to open it. The house was spacious and perfect for my family, and the garden was great for our dog. I had a pleasant experience and would definitely book again if available.
Although there were a few minor issues, such as the downstairs toilet not flushing properly and the bed being a bit hard, they didn't significantly impact my stay. The surrounding area, as evidenced by the incident with the fighting men, wasn't the best, but it's important to note that it wasn't the fault of the property or the helpful host.

We were a group of five motorbike tourists traveling through Europe and needed a place to stop overnight. Family Homes Upper Road Cottage was perfect for us as it provided ample space for us to relax and unwind before our final journey home. The house was well-organized and furnished, with comfortable sitting and dining areas, a fully-equipped kitchen, and additional bathroom downstairs. The bedrooms, though not large, were exactly what we needed, and one even had an ensuite shower. Mindy, our friendly host, kept in touch with us through Whatsapp, ensuring smooth communication throughout our stay. The off-street parking for three cars and the convenience of a wall-mounted key safe for key collection were added bonuses. the cottage was clean, tidy, and felt like a home away from home. We would definitely choose to book here again if available, as it was so much better than staying in a hotel.
Can recommend this hotel.

The location for where we wanted to go was perfect. The bathroom downstairs was great. Mindy our host was very helpful and quick to respond to questions. The house is well organized and furnished, with a comfortable sitting room, dining room, and kitchen, and appliances and an extra bathroom downstairs. Mindy was a very friendly host, with good communication via WhatsApp. The property was spacious for 3 people and a dog, and the garden was big enough for a dog too. I highly recommend this hotel.

The property was spacious enough for our group of three people and a dog, and the garden was also big enough for our furry friend to roam around. the location of the property was close enough to the town center, making it convenient to get a cab to and from.
The dish washing sponge and cutlery were dirty, and there were even hairs on the bed. The light switches were covered in dirt, and there was a bad smell throughout the place.
